Hoe vaak staan je langs de waterkant en vraag je je af hoe hard het achter op de plas zou waaien. Dit is een vraag die bij de Windsurfclub Reeuwijk (WSCR) vaak gesteld werd.<\/p>

Door dit vraagstuk is Windsurfice tot stand gekomen. Alleen hoe zorg je dat de data van de wind 1.5km over het water naar de club verstuurd word? (zonder abonnement) Hoe maak je een zelfvoorzienende opstelling die het hele jaar door op zijn plek kan blijven staan?<\/p>

Om de data te versturen maakt de windmeter gebruik van het LORA netwerk. Een technologie met een groot bereik en een laag verbruik. De energievoorziening bestaat uit een zonnepaneel samen met een accu om dag en nacht updates te versturen.<\/p>

Met hulp van de WSCR is in Maart 2020 de eerste test op het balkon van de club geplaatst. Later in Mei 2020 is de meter op een boei midden in de plas geplaatst. Sindsdien stuur hij trouw de metingen door naar de website.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Elke 5 seconden meet de windmeter de actuele windsnelheid. Na 3 minuten word de gemiddelde windsnelheid berekend samen met de minimale en maximale wind vlagen. Afhankelijk van de instellingen word de data tussen de 3 en 24 minuten naar de server verstuurd.
Door de accu en zonnepaneel is de meter zelfvoorzienend en blijft hij dag en nacht updates versturen. Ook als de zon een paar dagen niet schijnt.<\/p>

De windmeter is gebouwd om het hele jaar buiten in weer en natuurlijk wind te staan.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

De windmeter maakt gebruik van het LORA netwerk. Deze technologie heeft een bereik van meerdere kilometers.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The things network (TTN) is een open source LORA netwerk. Via dit netwerk wordt de data naar de server verstuurd. Voor het gebruik van het TTN netwerk zitten regels aan de zend frequentie, je mag maar 30sec per dag data versturen. Dit komt neer op elke 3 minuten een update<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Om het bereik van de windmeter te vergroten kan er voor gekozen worden om de frequentie van 3 minuten te vergroten naar 6, 12 of 24 minuten. De windmeter zal altijd zijn update versturen maar dit bericht wordt niet altijd ontvangen. Met Lora kun je niet achterhalen of het bericht aan komt bij de server. Het kan dus zijn dat er berichten verloren gaan.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

De windmeters zijn ontworpen en worden gebouwd door Windsurfice.<\/p>

De eerste stap is controleren of er bereik is op locatie. Als er geen bereik is maar wel internet kan er een Lora ontvanger geplaatst worden.<\/p>

Waar word de windmeter op gemonteerd is de volgende stap. Speciale bevestigingsmaterialen kunnen hier voor gemaakt worden. Bijvoorbeeld de boei van WSCR.
